In 2007 Google used a poop emoji in their adoption of Unicode 6.0. It resembled the poop emoji we know and love today but didn’t have a face and had flies buzzing around it! GROSS! Then in 2011 Apple added an official emoji keyboard on its iOS operating system which had a poop emoji but this time it was loosely based off a Japanese cartoon character called Dr. Slump.
